Select corporation or charity research deliberately
Washington State’s Corporations and Charities Filing System provides distinct routes for corporate and charitable information. A charity-registration enquiry and a corporation search do not answer identical questions. Use the legal name or Unified Business Identifier where available, and verify which part of the system supplied the result before describing the organisation’s status.
Use the public record without confusing it with account access
The Secretary of State explains that business information is available through the public corporation search, while user accounts support filing functions. The state’s data catalogue also points to the official search service. Keep the UBI, entity type and consultation date with your findings, and examine the particular filing if the review concerns a historical change.
