Locate the Belarusian entity in the EGR
Belarus maintains a Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs, commonly abbreviated EGR. The tax authority directs users to the EGR portal for checking a business’s recorded position. Use the registration reference and legal name supplied on the organisation’s documents, allowing for the original Cyrillic denomination. A company listing and an individual-entrepreneur entry concern different legal identities, even when their commercial names are similar.
Distinguish a pending closure from removal
Official tax guidance separates the process of liquidation or cessation from the completed exclusion of an entity from the register. Read the actual status wording before concluding that a business has ceased to exist. For formal evidence, request an EGR extract through the applicable registry procedure and confirm the current charge or exemption. The extract answers a registration question; any separate claim about tax compliance or financial health needs evidence suited to that purpose.
