Specify the company record rather than a generic certificate
Guernsey has its own Registry and online portal for corporate records. Begin with the legal name and registration number, then establish whether you need a filed document, a statement of recorded information or evidence of the entity’s status. These requests address different questions. The Registry’s current service should determine what is available and how it can be certified; an older third-party description may refer to a superseded portal or product.
Confirm the format before arranging international delivery
Ask the recipient whether an ordinary copy is sufficient or whether a certified version and further authentication are required. Check the Registry’s current ordering instructions for the applicable format, charges and delivery arrangements rather than assuming uniform treatment of every historical record. For apostille matters, the Hague Conference identifies the Guernsey Legalisation Office at the Greffe as the relevant authority. Keep registry certification separate from this additional authentication step when preparing the request.
