A reserved name is only one stage of registration
Zimbabwe's investment authority directs company-registration procedures to the Companies and Intellectual Property Zimbabwe system. Its name-search stage is intended to assess the proposed name, so a successful name check should not be presented as proof that a company was incorporated. When examining an existing business, request its registration reference and incorporation evidence first, then use the official guidance to identify the authority that can confirm or clarify the record.
Compare formation papers with subsequent company changes
ZIDA's procedure identifies outputs such as the certificate of incorporation and summary entity document. Compare those records with the company's claimed identity and representation, remembering that formation documents can predate changes in directors, address or capital. Ask the registry which current extract or certified document is available for your purpose rather than assuming the filing portal exposes every record publicly. Requirements for documents supplied by applicants also do not establish that all their personal information is publicly searchable.
