Uganda Registration Services Bureau separates name searches, detailed business or company searches and legal-document searches. Use the registration number to identify the company before purchasing a detailed report. The Online Business Registration System provides the search and certification workflow, with account access and payment requirements where applicable. Seeing a matching name in an initial lookup does not mean that the full file or every document has been supplied.
Keep payment references linked to the retrieved record
For a paid search, URSB explains how to generate or use a Payment Reference Number and retrieve the completed result under the account's applications. Certification is a further service for selected company documents, so identify the precise filing required. Save the report and any certified copy with their dates and references. This creates a clearer record of what was checked than a payment receipt alone, particularly when company particulars change after the search.
