An extract summarises, a copy reproduces
A registry extract usually brings together selected recorded facts about an entity, while a document copy reproduces a specific filing. Their contents and legal effect depend on the issuing register. Decide whether you need a current identity summary or evidence of a particular event before ordering a product described loosely as a company report.
Check format and certification separately
Companies House provides public document images and a separate certified-document service. European register guides help compare arrangements elsewhere. Confirm the issuing authority, issue date and whether the product is certified; a downloadable filing image can be useful for research without being equivalent to an official extract prepared for presentation to another authority.
