Choose the trade register rather than the business directory
Suriname’s Kamer van Koophandel en Fabrieken maintains the Handelsregister and provides related business-information services. The government’s explanation distinguishes that register from the Suriname Directory, where businesses can purchase promotional visibility. A listing in the latter is therefore not a substitute for a registry extract. Use the enterprise’s registered name and available file reference, and check whether its legal structure falls within the trade register’s published scope.
Request an extract through KKF’s own service channel
The chamber’s current website links directly to KKF E-Services for digital extract requests, alongside name approval and individual-business registration. Follow that official link and examine the service’s account requirements before applying. Compare the extract with the particular identity, address or representation claim being assessed, taking its date into account. A commercial listing, a business permit and the trade-register record serve different purposes even when they concern the same enterprise.
