Search using the registered identity, allowing for the Chinese or Portuguese denomination shown in the documents. A translated trading name supplied in English may need to be connected to that formal identity before a reliable match can be made.
Choose evidence of registration or representation
A commercial-registration certificate serves a different purpose from a preliminary information search or a proposed trade-name check. Macau’s official investment guidance identifies the registry certificate within the company-registration process. For a transaction requiring proof of a representative’s capacity, request the relevant current registry evidence and examine what it actually records. Keep the company’s registration separate from any activity-specific approval; incorporation alone does not settle every permission needed to conduct business in Macau.
