Use Japan’s corporate-number record for identification
Japan’s National Tax Agency publishes corporate-number information, including the name and registered location associated with an identifier. This is a practical starting point for matching a Japanese counterparty, particularly when an invoice carries the number. Compare the Japanese denomination as well as any English information available. The corporate-number publication service is an identity resource, not a substitute for the full commercial-register record or a company’s financial statements.
Request commercial-register evidence for legal particulars
The Ministry of Justice explains commercial and corporate registration, including applications for certificates of registered matters. The separate registration-information service can provide access to recorded company information through its own procedures. Use those routes when the enquiry concerns representation, capital or an amendment. Establish whether the recipient needs information for inspection or an official certificate, and retain the date of the document so that later registered changes are not overlooked.
