An address can connect unrelated companies
A registered office is a formal correspondence address and may be shared by unrelated businesses using the same professional service provider. An address-based query can reveal such associations, but it cannot establish common ownership or prove where staff work. Retain unit numbers and postal details, because a large building can contain many distinct addresses.
Verify each result on its own record
Companies House advanced search includes a registered-office field, while DATA INPI offers French enterprise research. After finding a candidate, inspect its individual file and compare any branch information separately. The UK overseas-establishment guidance is particularly relevant when an address belongs to a branch of a foreign company rather than the company’s original place of incorporation.
