One access route, several national registrars
The Business Registers Interconnection System links participating European business registers and supports company searches through the European e-Justice Portal. It is an exchange infrastructure, rather than a replacement registrar that creates every company record itself. The national register remains important for the meaning, completeness and legal effect of the information returned about a particular entity.
Follow the document back to its issuer
Use the European Commission’s BRIS information to understand the system, then consult the relevant country guide for local disclosure arrangements. Where a document is supplied by a national register, note its language, issue date and certification status. For a French enterprise, DATA INPI provides a direct national reference point that can help reconcile identity information found through the broader European route.
