Use the chamber for the company’s province
Dominican commercial registration is handled through the Cámara de Comercio y Producción of the relevant province. Santo Domingo’s chamber describes services for registration, renewal, amendments, certificates and certified copies. Establish the company’s legal domicile before using that particular chamber’s file. A certificate issued in Santo Domingo should not be treated as a nationwide search covering every provincial registration or every business using a similar commercial name.
Cross-check the RNC without replacing the corporate file
The Dirección General de Impuestos Internos maintains the Registro Nacional de Contribuyentes and an RNC consultation service. Use that tax identity to compare the company named on invoices with the organisation in the commercial record. The RNC and the Registro Mercantil serve different purposes. For a question about a corporate amendment or representative, obtain the chamber’s relevant certificate or filed document, and record its date alongside the tax-register result.
