Activity codes and objects perform different jobs
A declared industry code categorises activity for registration or statistical purposes, whereas an objects provision can form part of a company’s constitutional framework. Neither should be read as a complete description of every transaction undertaken. When reviewing a business, identify which field you are looking at and retain the source wording before drawing conclusions about its permitted or actual operations.
Look for evidence appropriate to the question
Companies House publishes the SIC list used for UK filings, and its incorporation-document guidance explains the role of constitutional documents. DATA INPI supplies enterprise information for French research. A code can help locate comparable businesses, but a regulated activity requires a separate check with the relevant regulator; corporate registration alone does not establish professional authorisation.
