Search the Guernsey register rather than the UK database
Guernsey maintains its own company-registration system, so a UK Companies House search is not a substitute for a Guernsey Registry enquiry. Use the Registry’s online portal to identify the company, keeping its registration number and legal name together. A document request should specify whether you need current recorded facts, a particular filing or certification for another recipient.
Do not confuse company registration with regulation
The Guernsey Financial Services Commission explains that company registration and financial-services supervision are different functions. A registered company therefore needs a separate regulatory check if its proposed activity requires authorisation. Consult the Registry for corporate documents and the Commission for the relevant financial-services context, preserving each authority’s conclusion within its own scope.
